Chief Executive (Financial Planning) of a large pharmaceutical company working
on the turnaround efforts of the group. The position was held on invitation
from the company.
December 1994 to January 1996 (On leave from IIM, Ahmedabad):
Initially Executive Director and later Chief Executive Officer, was
instrumental in setting up an Asset Management Company, which involved
obtaining various statutory clearances, setting up the preparatory investments
research activity and in conducting international roadshows for Madras India
Equity Fund of the foreign collaborators (the AMC was a collaboration between a
UK based Mutual Fund and an Indian Financial Services Company). The roadshows
were considered extraordinarily successful by the overseas partner. The
position was held on invitation from the promoters.
